I approached Christine because I knew she had been doing organizing work for a long time and I asked her if she would be interested in facilitating our organization's retreat. Christine worked very closely with me learning our organizations history our successes and struggles and group and personal dynamics. We had many in person and phone meetings and you could tell she really cared about getting it right and providing us with the best facilitation she could. I am so grateful for the care and attention she puts into her work. I was feeling very stressed about our retreat and after working with her for over a month to plan I felt calm knowing that all my concerns were addressed and that Christine would guide us in loving firmness to help us bridge some of the gaps that were dividing our organization. That's exactly what she did, that retreat was crucial to our organization and I am so glad we had Christine to help us through. I highly recommend her services!

Like many people, I was intimidated and overwhelmed by the idea of community organizing. The issues were so complex and it felt as though everyone around me were deeply engrained in this work and well established in their network. I wanted to change the world but I simply did not know where to begin. As my first mentor, Christine helped me gain confidence in myself and opened my eyes to the fact that I too have a network and community to fall back on. Moreover, she taught me concrete logistical skills that are integrel to any community organizer's arsenal. She is a wonderful mentor with such wisdom to offer. I would recommend any new organizer reaches out to her if they're struggling to finding their way in the organizing world.

"I met Christine through Maine Students for Climate Justice. MSCJ is a dispersed network of youth across the state working to build a powerful movement for change. Our geographic diversity is one of our strengths, but it is is also one of greatest challenges. We built campaigns and relationships through Google Hangouts, an unfulfilling and difficult medium for deep organizing. When MSCJ united for in-group campaign planning, Christine facilitated our sessions. She took the time ahead of the retreat to talk with members of our group and understand our goals. She developed a plan that catered to our needs and facilitated the experience while building personal relationships. Christine has a thorough understanding of organizing tools. She is also very receptive to feedback throughout the process, even in the middle of the meeting."

Christine is someone I organize with regularly. She sits on the board of the organization I work for, Resources for Organizing and Social Change, whose mission is to " to build and support a movement for nonviolent social change that will educate, activate, & empower all Maine people through grassroots community organizing." We also organize together with Central Maine Showing Up for Racial Justice. In the time I've worked with Christine, I've had the chance to see her facilitation skills, her organizing chops, and through my growth in the position I currently hold with my organization, I've been coached by her numerous times. Christine is patient, kind, funny, and has an approach to organizing that is shaped by a holistic and decolonized mindset. Christine brings a world view into her work that is both intersectional and unafraid to buck against the status-quo. I couldn't recommend her more highly for the services she is providing. She is both highly skilled and incredibly thorough in her work. She has a strong sense of follow through and is always thinking about next steps to help move the work along. Because of Christine's propensity for helping people to touch base with their own power, I'd recommend her highly for people and groups new to organizing, but also, because she is so skilled at facilitation with such a fundamental understanding of the nuts and bolts of organizing from the grassroots, I'd also recommend her just as highly for people and groups who are very seasoned at social change work.
